“含沙射影”，汉语成语，字面意思是“含沙喷射人的影子（spit sand on a shadow）”。在中国古代传说中，有一种叫蜮（yù，a fabulous creature, said to be like a turtle and spit poisonous sand）的害人虫，能喷射有毒的沙子，即使是影子被蜮射中，也会生病。
